Standing at 125 feet tall the Column offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Oregon and Washington coast mountains, and the Columbia River. The Column was built in 1926 by the Great Northern Railroad. The artwork on the Column is beautiful! It is known as graffito, an Italian artform that combines carving and painting in to the concrete. And we all know how Mom and Dad love concrete!
